Paris Hilton has revealed that she sought advice from her former rival Kim Kardashian about IVF before welcoming her first child with husband Carter Reum.

The 41-year-old socialite, who announced on Tuesday that her baby was recently born, previously told The Trend Reporter with Mara podcast: “[Kim] was the one who told me about [IVF].

“I didn’t even know anything about it. I’m happy that she told me... and introduced me to her doctor.”

The doctor, according to Vogue, is Beverly Hills IVF “magician” Dr Andy Huang.

Hilton added: “We have been doing IVF, so I can pick twins if I like. I’ve already undergone the egg extraction procedure.

“It was tough, but I knew it would be worth it. I did it a couple of times."

However, Hilton eventually went down the surrogacy route like Kardashian has done with the youngest two of her four children.

Kardashian, 42, underwent the IVF process three times during her marriage to ex-husband Kanye West.

She conceived nine-year-old North naturally and seven-year-old Saint via IVF.

She said both pregnancies proved too high risk, so she had Chicago, five, and Psalm, three, with the help of a surrogate.

Hilton revealed the birth of her first child in a surprise announcement on Instagram with a close-up picture of a baby gripping a thumb, but did not share any other details.

“You are already loved beyond words," she captioned the post.

Hilton, the granddaughter of Hilton Hotels’ founder Conrad Hilton, married Reum in 2021.

In December 2022, she told E! News that she and Reum had wanted to enjoy their first year of marriage and “were always planning on 2023" to start their family.

“I always loved kids, but I just never found the person that I could trust to do that with," she said.

“But now that I did, I just can’t wait, and he’s gonna be the best father and we’re just gonna have the most magical life together."
