A Cocomelon clip on YouTube that turns sinister has led to a warning being issued to parents of young children. The clip is scaring some children and parents have taken to social media to air their concerns.
Birmingham Live reports TikTok user charliemarie99 shared the warning in a viral clip. The clip sees the child-friendly character suddenly turn into a monster, alongside a horrifying sound.
"My poor little girl jumped back; we were both in shock," one mum said. "I’ve already installed it now. Only reason it wasn’t installed is because it’s my iPad not my daughter's," she added on YouTube Kids.
"Just want to add, my daughter gets one hour a day of iPad time, and it’s monitored by me. She normally watches films on Netflix or Disney Plus."
A worried mum messaged "jumped a mile" in the comments underneath the clip. Another wrote: "It's awful that people feel the need to do this! Hope your little one is OK."
However, some others found the clip funny. One said: "That’s hilarious. I would turn that on and let my kid watch it - builds character."
