Taking to Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group a Costa customer said: "I don’t recall seeing this on the menu but Costa offer a small hot chocolate (Babyccino- be sure to ask for the chocolate version) or frothed milk for 60p drink in or take out, including at train stations.

"It comes with an optional marshmallow. Perfect child size and the fraction of the cost of their small drinks."

After sharing the money-saving tip online, many people loved the handy hack.

The post has received over 200 likes and almost 300 comments.

Replying to the post one said: "Unless it’s changed recently, the plain milk babycino (as opposed to the chocolate one) is usually free in Costa. We made the mistake of ordering one from Starbucks recently and they charged £1.50 for it."

Another added: "They’ve had this for years. They should ask you whether it’s just milk or chocolate you’d like. They make it just the right temperature for little people."

A third commented: "They can also make them with alternative milk. My little boy has a milk allergy so they make it up with soya milk for him but have other options available too. The marshmallows and chocolate powder is also milk free so it’s nice he doesn’t have to miss out."
