Parents of UK's biggest family celebrate 30 years of marriage without their 22 children

The parents of ' Britain's biggest family ' celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a special trip to a secret location - which featured a heartbreaking tribute to their stillborn son.

Sue and Noel Radford, parents-of-22, from Morecambe, Lancashire, spent their special day at a secret location - celebrating with poignant gifts to mark their pearl wedding anniversary.

Rarely without some of their huge brood at their side, the trip marked a rare child free occasion.

They made the decision to book the break after Sue visited a medium on holiday who told her she needed to take time for herself, reports LancsLive.

Sue then decided to put it to a vote on Instagram. The response was an overwhelming yes with 98% urging the pair to go and spend some quality time together.

Since arriving at their destination, which has not yet been revealed, they have shared a series of pictures to Instagram. The pair shared food and the cosy setting, saying they had the 'best day' celebrating.

Sue said: "We had the best day yesterday celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We finished the day off with a beautiful meal in the most beautiful setting I’ve ever seen."

The mum also revealed that Noel has bought her a thoughtful gift - despite previously agreeing not to buy presents. She posted a picture of her wearing a beautiful pearl bracelet.

She wrote: "Love my pearl wedding anniversary present from [Noel Radford]. Thank you so much it's beautiful. Even thought we did say no presents."

The couple also paid tribute to their stillborn son, Alfie, on the trip. They wrote his name in the sand followed by a heart. Writing a caption: "Where ever we go, you go."

In July 2014, the Radford family were devastated when Noel and Sue's 17th child, Alfie, was stillborn.

At their three month scan, just after they announced Sue was pregnant, the doctor was unable to find their baby's heartbeat.

Earlier this year, the family - who do not claim state benefits - revealed how they faced paying £900 per meal on their next holiday after planning another trip abroad.

The family have another trip to Disney World in Florida in the pipeline, with mum-of-22 Sue, 47, showing her potentially extortionate food bill.

Sue had to book three separate slots to dine out with the family facing a huge bill as they tuck into their tasty grub.

The family visited the resort in April, but seemed to love it so much that they're willing to fork out for another trip.

On I nstagram Sue showed how she was booking the Fairytale Dining Lunch at the Cinderella’s Royal Table and the Be Our Guest Dinner - both at the park's Magic Kingdom.

Due to the sheer size of the family, she was forced to book three different slots - for lunch, she had to create a 2.30pm slot for eight people, a 2.45pm slot for another eight and a 2.50pm session for six people.
