The parents of Jennifer Gledhill, who is facing charges for the alleged murder of her husband Matthew Johnson, have been arrested on obstruction of justice charges. Thomas and Rosalie Gledhill are accused of lying to authorities, participating in the cleanup of the crime scene, and disposing of evidence related to Johnson's death.
According to police booking affidavits, the Gledhills allegedly misled investigators and were involved in tampering with crucial evidence. Jennifer Gledhill, a woman with ties to the Utah National Guard, was charged earlier this month after an informant came forward claiming to have had an affair with her.
The informant reported that Gledhill confessed to shooting her husband while he slept in their bed on September 21, 2024. She then purportedly moved Johnson's body into a rooftop storage container, transported it in their minivan, and buried him in a shallow grave up north. Gledhill admitted to destroying Johnson's phone and concealing his truck in a nearby neighborhood.
Furthermore, the informant noticed bruises on Gledhill's body, which she attributed to moving her husband's remains and cleaning the crime scene. A neighbor also informed the police that she witnessed Gledhill's parents cleaning the house on September 24, 2024, staying until late in the evening.
When questioned by authorities, Rosalie Gledhill claimed to have been at the house for only an hour, while Thomas Gledhill stated he could not recall specifics of the day but confirmed being there briefly. The arrests of the Gledhills shed light on the complex web of deceit and cover-up surrounding the tragic death of Matthew Johnson.
