Often parents will be roped into help with their little one's homework from school.
When children are in primary school, it's usually easy to assist them with basic spelling and maths. However, sometimes parents will come across a question which leaves them stumped.
Taking to Reddit, one such parent shared a question that 'outsmarted' them, despite being for their primary school age child.
As reported by the Mirror, the baffling homework features four ways to practise the letter 'T' by figuring out what images show - however the last one doesn't seem to add up.
The parent asked on Reddit: 'Son's kindergarten school work. What 3-4 letter word is this?', and people are divided.
There is clearly a 'tub', a number 'ten' and a spinning 'top', but it's hard to find a way to figure out a way to start the last question's image with a 'T'.
One user responded: "Has to be pet. These kinds of worksheets try to make the last one more difficult by switching the sound of the letter to the end of the word to try and throw the kid off."
"Yep. As a former teacher I've been stumped before, but this one is definitely 'pet'", another added.
While 'pet' seems to be a likely answer, other social media users admitted that the question had left them clueless.
"My 40yr old brain totally wasn’t outsmarted by a kindergarten workbook page…Nope definitely not", a Redditor joked.
Another complimented: "On the good side, those are some very nicely written letters for a kindergartner."
