Parents, children and staff at Kilbarchan Primary School have been urged to provide feedback on steps taken to boost road safety in the area.
They have been asked whether a number of changes – including buildouts and street art, as well as a bench and canopy – have encouraged walking and cycling to school and impacted the volume of traffic in Meadside Avenue.
The measures were introduced some time after road safety concerns were raised in 2019, with morning drop-off traffic an area identified where there was room for improvement.
As part of the initiative, which saw Renfrewshire Council work with Sustrans' Pocket Places team, a colourful street kit helped to prevent pavement parking and support visibility at crossing points.
Additionally, a small canopy over a bench, alongside artwork designed by school and nursery pupils, was installed to promote active travel, while buildouts were introduced.
A consultation is now running, which is seeking the opinions of those in the school community on what difference the tweaks made in the village street.
The council said: "This survey is looking to capture feedback from residents on Meadside Avenue and pupils, school staff, parents and carers from Kilbarchan Primary School on how they feel the changes on Meadside Avenue are now supporting their journey to school, everyday road use and how the changes support the volume of traffic and the behaviours of those using this road."
