Baby's names often provide an insight into the personality of their parents. For instance, if you meet a Willow, Lake, or Sky, it would not be unreasonable to assume their family feels a strong connection to nature. Equally, if you meet a Daenerys, you can bet her parents are probably Game of Thrones fans.
You might also be able to tell something about children themselves from their forenames, as Katie Hopkins once claimed. Well, one mum who thinks names can reveal information about children and their families has been blasted for her belief. The woman came under fire after she asked fellow parents if "Alfie" is "a working class name."

But people slammed the mum for wanting to know "what class" others associated the name with.
The mum shared little context in her post to parenting forum Mumsnet, which was titled: " Is Alfie a working class name?" She simply wrote: " What class do you associate Alfie with?"
However, several commenters ignored her question, instead making their feelings toward the questioner known.
One person said: "Why on earth does it matter? If you like the name then use it!
"Also, there is nothing wrong with being or sounding working class."
Another asked: "Why do you care?"
And someone replied: "I'm glad I know what's important in life."
Meanwhile, a different commenter thought: "I don't associate it with class, its a plain standard name, too popular to be tied to a class."
But a second answered: "1. If you're an insufferable snob and wannabe social climber yourself, then maybe.
"2. None because I'm not in the 1) category. How about you?"
