Parents and dog walkers warned as pellets wash up on Sutton-on-Sea beach

A council have warned parents and dog walkers after small pellets of plastic washed up on Sutton-on-Sea beach. East Lindsey District Council in Lincolnshire issued a statement at 4.13pm on Wednesday, August 31.

As reported by Lincolnshire Live, the council confirmed the Environment Agency is aware of the problem and asked beachgoers to be 'vigilant' for the waste. A spokesperson for the council said: "East Lindsey District Council is aware a number of inert plastic nurdles (small pellets of plastic) have washed up in the Sutton-on-Sea area.

"The Environment Agency has been notified and we ask parents and dog walkers to be aware and vigilant when visiting the area." An Environment Agency spokesperson said: "We are aware that some plastic pellets have washed up on the beach at Sutton on Sea.
