Authorities in Paraguay have made a significant drug bust, seizing over 4 tons of cocaine with an estimated market value of $240 million. The massive drug haul was discovered concealed within a shipment of sugar that was en route to Belgium, as reported by the country's anti-drug agency Senad.
The operation, aptly named 'Operation Sweetness,' marks the largest cocaine seizure in Paraguay's history. The bust took place at the seaport in the capital city of Asuncion, where authorities intercepted the illicit cargo.
Senad revealed that the bust was a result of detecting a suspicious shipment, prompting a coordinated effort with other government agencies to uncover the drug trafficking operation.
