Paradise Birmingham welcomes Cazenove Capital to new Midlands base

A wealth management firm has opened its first Midlands office in Birmingham city centre.

Cazenove Capital has launched a new base at Two Chamberlain Square at the Paradise project.

The company, which is part of the London-based Schroders Group, works with private individuals, family offices, trusts, institutions and charities.

It said the move into Birmingham would support its expanding client base across the Midlands region.

Cazenove Capital's Birmingham team is headed by Dave Price who has 27 years of industry experience, having previously worked as Midlands regional head for UBS and he was also a part of the team which established Credit Suisse's Private Banking Midlands office.

He is supported by eight other local wealth management specialists.

Mr Price said: "As home to almost a sixth of the UK's population, close to 650,000 vibrant companies and several leading UK universities, the Midlands is a significant economic hub, with numerous entrepreneurs, families and individuals able to benefit from our advice.

"We look forward to using the new office in Birmingham as a springboard to continue deepening our long-established relationships with clients in the region and to building new ones."

Head of UK regions Karan Sejpal added: "Business owners and entrepreneurs are the engine of British economic growth and innovation.

"The Midlands, in particular, is home to several, notable success stories in recent years, reflecting its attractiveness as a place to start and develop a business.

"The outlook for the region is very exciting, with events like the Commonwealth Games bringing much needed tourism to the area, infrastructure investment deepening Birmingham's connection to London, and the energy transition providing ample opportunity for graduates to leverage the region's manufacturing and industry expertise to create transformative technologies and products."

It becomes the latest company to take space at the new Two Chamberlain Square building where it joins law firm DLA Piper, engineering and design consultancy Atkins, Rosa's Thai Cafe and Yorks café which is due to open soon.
