Papa Johns release special garlic sauce-inspired necklace ahead of Halloween

Papa Johns is launching a special limited-edition Halloween accessory this year. The talisman-style necklace is inspired by the pizza chain’s iconic special garlic dipping sauce, along with cult horror classics.

Dubbed the Stranger Bling necklace, it is designed to protect the wearer against supernatural spirits and possessed pizzas on Halloween. This piece of gothic jewellery is forged in oxidised 925 sterling silver - said to be a precious metal believed to repel vampires and werewolves.

It is hinged to replicate the opening and closing of a real sauce pot. This was crafted to fit a unique Halloween keepsake - a real garlic clove - which can be replaced by another tiny treasure.

Also found within the pendant, the maker has stamped a mini pepperoni pizza with a missing slice. That absent piece instead appears on the necklace’s belcher chain.

The unisex jewel is presented in an eco-friendly display box. It is exclusively available to order from Black Feather Design for £100, with the pendant said to be worth £170.

The jewellery launch, which features a trailer on YouTube, pays homage to the brand’s Halloween-themed horror film parody series Jack!, which saw a possessed Jack O’Lantern pizza defeated by the magical powers of Papa Johns’ special garlic sauce.

Lawrence Felice, Director, International Marketing EMENA at Papa Johns, said: “This Halloween we wanted to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items – our special garlic dipping sauce – by offering fans an exclusive, wearable keepsake. Taking inspiration from the classic horror genre, the Stranger Bling necklace is the only monster-busting accessory you’ll need this spooky season.”

Papa Johns has also unveiled its Halloween range for this year, with the items available to order from October 17. Its seasonal offerings feature black ghost chilli chicken wings, sweet chilli and cheese sticks and cinnapie sticks.
