Paolo Nutini took to the stage of the OVO Hydro on Tuesday for the first of his run of tour dates in the city and didn't hold back when sharing his love of a certain woman.
The Paisley-born singer announced to the crowd that he has "a lot of love for Nicola Sturgeon" after performing his song Iron Sky.
The song, which appeared on his album Caustic Love, was thought by many to be about Scottish Independence. Members of the audience were quick to praise him for giving the First Minister a shout out.

Kelly Given, star of Channel 4’s Make Me Prime Minister, also praised Paolo for his comment. She said: "Paolo Nutini just told the hydro he loves Nicola Sturgeon, as if we needed another reason to stan x"
Another added: “@NicolaSturgeon had to let you know you had a special mention from our @PaoloNutini tonight.
“Was so proud to hear him voice his political opinion that, publicly, he doesn’t normally do.”
Paolo's latest tour comes off the back of the release of his fourth album Last Night in the Bittersweet in May. He'll be returning to the OVO Hydro stage tonight (Wednesday), Friday, Sunday and next Tuesday.
