Paolo Nutini praised by Paisley restaurant for supporting local business during cost of living crisis

A Paisley Indian hit all the right notes after welcoming a surprise guest to their restaurant on Sunday.

The Indian Scene, which is located on Glasgow Road, served Paisley’s favourite singer Paolo Nutini with the staff getting pictured alongside the star.

The restaurant posted on social media, thanking Paolo for supporting a business in the town, and were grateful he stopped by for some grub.

The post on Facebook reads: “Great to see local celebrities supporting local businesses. Thank you for dining with us tonight, Paolo Nutini.”

The post was flooded with comments from customers revealing that they were pleased to see the star in the restaurant – with one woman thanking staff for placing them across from the musician.

They said: “Food was amazing, service outstanding and you sat me in the booth opposite Paolo who was just lovely – just fabby fab!"

The Paisley Buddie headlined the TRSNMT festival in July where he was greeted with cheers and applause to a sold-out Glasgow Green audience.

Nutini has just recently released his fourth studio album – ‘Last Night In The Bittersweet’ – after an eight-year hiatus from the music scene. However, the musician wasn't forgotten by his fans who are lapping up his new material.

The new album's songs have had a total of 35 million streams combined with ‘Through The Echoes’ peaking at 46 in the charts in June.

The star has his hands full at the minute as he is currently on tour with the next scheduled shows to take place in Manchester and London at the end of October. It will come to an end in Italy in June next year.
