Paolo Nutini drops hint about new album during rare trip out to Glasgow restaurant

Paolo Nutini delighted fans after popping in for brunch at a popular Glasgow southside eatery.

The Pencil Full of Lead singer stopped in at popular Kilmurry & Co for a bite to eat as he assured fans new music is coming.

Paolo, 35, popped into the rustic Shawlands restaurant on Monday afternoon, sporting a pair of sunnies and a casual jeans and jumper combo as he enjoyed the rare glimpse at the Scottish sunshine.

The Paisley-born singer is gearing up to headline Glasgow's TRNSMT festival later this summer, telling fans he is "working hard" on his new album, as reported in the Scottish Daily Express.

The news comes after the top Scots singer has been on a music-writing hiatus for the last eight years as his last album, Caustic Love, was released back in 2014.

He appeared at the Paisley Abbey in 2017 to perform at a charity-led concert for Syrian refugees, and has done several gigs here and there - but hasn't toured the UK since 2015.

The 'New Shoes' singer hasn't been active on any social media since August 2019 and has finally given his fans some respite as he announced a few appearances at festivals, including Glasgow's TRNSMT Festival in July.

Fans are now calling on him to announce UK Tour dates following his announcement earlier in March of an Italy-wide tour on his return to live shows, which will follow his summer appearance at Glasgow's TRNSMT Festival.
