Paolo Nutini announces comeback tour after Glasgow TRNSMT gig

Scots singer Paolo Nutini shared a rare social media post to announce that he will be touring around Italy this summer.

The Paisley-born star, who has been absent from the music scene over the last few years, is ensuring 2022 is his comeback year, as he is also set to headline TRNSMT festival in Glasgow.

But now, he has revealed that he will also be playing various different dates in Italy this July.

He uploaded the tour poster and added: "Tickets on sale 17.03.22".

But Scots fans were keen to know when the singer would be playing more local gigs.

One wrote: "When are you coming home to Paisley Scotland Paolo love you met you at connect festival 2008."

Another added: "Yass man!! Would love to see you live again! how about in your hometown in the new refurbished Paisley town hall please make this happen."

Whilst one said: "Are you doing a UK tour?. I'm no that far... 1 hour down the motorway in Scotland... mon pal. We've missed ya!"

And another wrote: "Aw damn! Italy? Oh well It’s a start. Just need to wait for Glasgow gig."

Just last year, fans of the Paisley singer called for him to make a musical comeback since he hasn't released any new music since 2014.

His last album Caustic Love dropped in 2014 and last year, fans got excited when the singer made his first social media post in over a year to promote the vinyl version of his album Sunny Side Up, but with no further news on when he would be back with fresh sounds.

Then followers' wishes were granted when it was announced that he would be headlining TRNSMT festival this July.

However, there's been speculation on whether or not he will release a new album beforehand or just play all of his classics.
