Paolo Nutini has told his fans that he was 'nervous' as he kicked off his UK tour dates, starting with Manchester, on Saturday night.
Thousands of music-goers packed into the city's Victoria Warehouse to see the Scots singer, whose last appearance big UK appearance was at TRNSMT in July, before that is it was Paisley Abbey five years ago. He also played two intimate gigs in Oban earlier this year.
Paolo thanked his fans and said that he was "grateful" for them coming to see him as he knows just how expensive concerts are these days, and added that it makes him "nervous". Last night was the first of two performances in Manchester before heading to London's Alexandra Palace on Wednesday October 16.
The Paisley singer has already performed shows in Germany and Switzerland.
One Scottish fan who was there said: "We travelled down from Glasgow especially to see him and he was just brilliant.
"It was so nice to see him back on stage, it really had been a long time coming."
Paolo will play four night at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow later in December.

Staff at The Indian Scene, which is located on Glasgow Road, couldn't resist getting a picture alongside the star.
