Panto dame Twink has backed Wild Youth to win the Eurovision Song Contest.
The band were announced as the chosen act to represent us at this year’s Eurovision in Liverpool in May.
Twink – also known as Adele Condron-King – said the band’s song We Are One is set to go far at the contest.

She wrote on her Facebook page: "Well well....I hope RTE makes some dosh this year because if the loolahs (sic) on the international selection panel for Eurovision have the brains to put that cracker of a song with that superb band Wild Youth through to the Eurovision.
"We are in danger ...!!! Because...after all these years me thinks we are in with a big huge shot of winning it again with that terrific U2/Coldplay feel piece of music ...(although they still distinctly maintain their own individual sound and style)."
She said the band’s song, We Are One, is "an anthem for our times".
"What a confident assured cool performance they gave and the theme *WE ARE ONE* is surely an Anthem for our times. Very proud to stand over that entry.
"Fingers crossed now if that doesn't get through there is no justice," she added.
Wild Youth will perform in the first half of the Eurovision semi-finals on May 9.
However, the band feared they might not be able to perform at the Eurosong after their frontman David Whelan suffered a nasty injury and was forced to undergo an operation.
His health problems cast doubt over the band's appearance on stage. However, David was luckily able to perform alongside the rest of Wild Youth and uploaded a post-victory photo of himself, showing his arm in a sling.
The musician wrote on Instagram: "I unfortunately had a serious accident at the beginning of this year which required major surgery. I feared I would not even make it onto the stage tonight."
He described his bandmate Conor O'Donohoe as his "best friend" and paid tribute to the rest of Wild Youth following their success.
Elsewhere, former Eurovision hopeful Ryan O’Shaughnessy corrected Jedward on Twitter when they failed to remember the last time Ireland qualified for the final.
Ryan was the last act to make it to the final back in 2018 – a fact Jedward forgot about when they were on the Eurosong panel on Friday night.
The singer-songwriter took to Twitter to later correct the twins, writing: "I was actually the last act to make it to the finals for Ireland in 2018," he said with a laughing emoji.
