On Friday, the Carolina Panthers officially waived wide receiver Marquez Stevenson from the reserve/physically unable to perform list. The 25-year-old, who was previously waived back on July 26 with a failed physical designation, missed training camp and preseason play due to an undisclosed injury.
Before breaking into the pros, the Shreveport. La. native played his college ball at the University of Houston from 2016 to 2020. There, he was a two-time First-team All-AAC selection—having reeled in 147 balls for 2,269 yards and 22 touchdowns with three additional end-zone visits on kickoff returns.

Following his release from Buffalo, and a brief stint on the Cleveland Browns practice squad in 2022, Stevenson signed on with the Panthers as one of six free agents this past May.
