On Sunday afternoon, FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer reported that the Panthers are set to interview Jim Caldwell and Frank Reich for the position. Both men have previous runs as head coaches in the NFL.

Caldwell’s began with the Indianapolis Colts in 2009, when he went 14-2 in his first season. He’d then lead the Colts to a second division crown in 2010, but a down 2-14 campaign in 2011—giving way to his questionably quick dismissal.

After a few seasons as the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, Caldwell was hired as the head coach of the Detroit Lions in 2014. He lasted four seasons there, compiling an impressive 36-28 mark.

Reich, a former Panthers quarterback, served as head coach of the Colts from 2018 to 2022. The 61-year-old was fired on Nov. 7 following a 3-5-1 start to the campaign, ending his tenure in Indianapolis at 40-33-1.
