It’s Christmastime, and that only means one thing in Philadelphia . . . Santa Claus better run for cover.
Well, Carolina Panthers outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney may have to join him on Sunday—when his team visits Lincoln Financial Field for their Week 14 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Clowney, now an 11th-year NFL veteran, was asked about the notorious nature of the Philly faithful on Thursday.
“Oh my god,” he replied. “I know they love their fans, but I’m sure teams don’t love their fans. We can’t stand their fans.
“But, nah, Philly fans—they love their team. They love their team, they throw stuff at you, they do everything. They talk the most junk out of any fans I ever dealt with throughout my career.”

He’s not kidding.
The 31-year-old does have some prior experience dealing with the feathered fans . . .

Philadelphia could, however, be spared of Clowney this weekend—as he did not participate in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday due to a knee injury.
