How often does one accept a job offered to him by the man who officiated his wedding? Well, it just happened for Parks Frazier and the Carolina Panthers.
As announced by the team on Wednesday morning, Frazier has agreed to terms to become the team’s new passing game coordinator. He now rejoins head coach Frank Reich, his former boss and marriage officiant.
The 31-year-old Corinth, Miss. native got his coaching start as a defensive quality control coach at Samford University in the spring of 2015. Later that year, he’d move on to Middle Tennessee State University for the same role.
After spending two more years in the college ranks, as a graduate assistant at Arkansas State University, Frazier was hired by the Colts as an assistant to Reich in 2018. He’d spend five campaigns in Indianapolis—also serving as an offensive quality control coach, assistant quarterbacks coach and interim offensive coordinator after Jeff Saturday took over for Reich this past season.
