Even though he hasn’t even been at the job for more than two and a half seasons, Matt Rhule’s firing as head coach of the Carolina Panthers seemed like it was a long time coming. And that time officially came on Monday.
The move, of course, wouldn’t go without some reaction from the team’s fans. Let’s take a look at how the Panthers faithful took the news.
I honestly wish Matt Rhule the best of luck. Players love him and he wasn’t a particularly bad person.
As I said on @PanthersOnTap, he’ll do well in college and that’s not a bad thing. He has the talent, but just didn’t translate to NFL.

I typically feel really bad for folks who lose their job, because reality is it SUUUUCKS. I know from experience (for lay off, not performance)…but Rhule keeps getting paid his many millions. Don’t feel quite as bad in this instance.
