The Carolina Panthers made a handful of adjustments before their Week 13 clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As announced on Saturday afternoon, the team has activated outside linebacker Amaré Barno from the physically unable to perform list. The third-year defender has not played since tearing his ACL in last season’s Week 16 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Barno was selected by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft. The Blythewood, S.C. native has since gone on to appear in 24 games, amassing 30 combined tackles (three for a loss) and 2.0 sacks.
To make room for Barno on the active roster, the Panthers waived outside linebacker Thomas Incoom. Incoom played in seven games for Carolina this season, with 156 of his 194 total snaps coming on special teams.
The Panthers also elevated wide receiver Dan Chisena and tight end Stephen Sullivan from the practice squad. They’ll provide some depth in the absences of rookie pass catchers Jalen Coker and Ja’Tavion Sanders, both of whom were ruled out from the contest on Friday.
