As you level up your character in Palworld, you’ll unlock new technologies that can help you in your quest to get to level 50 and complete all of the content the game currently has to offer.
One type of technology that is incredibly important is, of course, weapons, which can offer a huge assist (and sometimes steal the show) when you’re battling and catching Pals throughout your journey.
Bows and guns are king because close-ranged combat with melee weapons leaves you very vulnerable to enemy Pal attacks, and those attacks can kill you rather quickly. In addition, the damage output of said melee weapons isn’t high enough to outperform guns and bows.
But not all guns are created equal in Palworld, with some being more effective than others.
Not sure which ones to prioritize in the late game? We have all the answers for you with our list of the best weapons in Palworld and how to craft them.
Single-shot Rifle
Level requirement: 36
Crafting requirement: Polymer (5), Refined Ingots (20)
You’re going to heavily rely on the Crossbow for much of the game, but once you hit level 36, the Single-shot Rifle takes its place with a major increase in damage output from its predecessor.
The Crossbow can remain useful after crafting the Single-shot Rifle, though, as players can use it to whittle down enemy Pal health points (HP) before attempting to catch them.
Pump-action Shotgun
Level requirement: 42
Crafting requirement: Carbon Fiber (40), Polymer (20), Refined ingots (30)
The Pump-action Shotgun is a big step up from the two-shot Double-barreled Shotgun, as it offers high damage and an eight-shot clip. This is the ideal weapon for close-ranged combat in the late game.
Assault Rifle
Level requirement: 45
Crafting requirement: Carbon Fiber (30), Polymer (10), Refined Ingots (30)
With a 20-shot clip and solid damage output, the Assault Rifle can mow down any enemy Pal in your way. It’s also perfect for whittling down an enemy Pal’s HP in order to make it easier to catch.
Rocket Launcher
Level requirement: 48
Crafting requirement: Pal Metal Ingot (75), Carbon Fiber (50), Polymer (30)
When you have big baddies to deal with, taking the rocket launcher with you to the fight can be a huge difference-maker with its ability to do massive chunk damage.
If your guns and Pals aren’t enough in battle, the Rocket Launcher can, at the very least, make up the difference.
Hyper Grappling Gun
Level requirement: 47
Crafting requirements: Paldium Fragment (40), Ancient Civilization Parts (15), Carbon Fiber (20), Polymer (20), Refined Ingot (30)
Grappling guns are a great way to get to those tough-to-reach places, but it loses its value a bit after you have a flying mount. Where it really shines is when you’re encumbered, as it allows you to keep moving, no matter how much you’re carrying.
Homing Sphere Launcher
Level requirement: 50
Crafting requirement: Paldium Fragments (200), Ancient Civilization Parts (20), Pal Metal Ingot (100), Carbon Fiber (50), Polymer (50)
One of the worst feelings is when you toss a Pal Sphere, only to miss your target. Well, that is no longer an issue with the Homing Sphere Launcher, which tracks down the enemy Pal you’re trying to catch and helps avoid wasting Pal Spheres.
