As you approach level 50 in Palworld, it’ll be time to to take on legendary Pals which, as you’d expect, are much more powerful and difficult to catch than any others you’ll encounter in the open world.
The four legendary Pals are Frostallion, Jetragon, Necromus and Paladius, and each are absolutely worth catching, especially if you need help with the final boss tower.
However, before you can go grab them, you’ll need to bring some things with you.
First, you’ll want Pals that are level 50 and strong against the legendary Pals’ element types, something we’ll go over shortly. Also, you’re going to need the proper weapons to help your Pal out, and the best to go with are the Assault Rifle and Rocket Launcher.
And, last but certainly not least, having legendary Pal Spheres will best help you combat the low catch rate each has. Ultra Spheres work on them, also, but obviously your catch rate will be lower. No matter which one you use, make sure to bring plenty of them.
Two things each of these legendary Pals have in common are very powerful passive skills, one of which is “Legend” that gives +20% attack and defense, as well as +15% work speed. In addition, each has an element-specific passive that grants +20% damage to its element type.
If you’re looking to breed the strongest Pals possible, you want these passives as options. Now, a look at each legendary Pal and where to find them on the map.
Frostallion
Level: 50
Map location: -357, 510
Pal element: Ice
Pal weakness: Fire
Partner Skill: Ice Steed – Converts the player’s attacks to deal Ice damage instead and increases the Ice damage dealt by the player and Frostallion while mounted. Enables Frostallion to be mounted.
Of the four legendary Pals, I suggest going after Frostallion first, as it’ll be a huge help in landing the next legendary Pal on our list, Jetragon, which is weak to ice attacks.
Jetragon
Level: 50
Map location: -790, -320
Pal element: Dragon
Pal weakness: Ice
Partner Skill: Aerial Missile – Allows you to mount Jetragon and have it fire a series of homing missiles while mounted.
Having Frostallion in your party will make this battle infinitely easier, so make sure to go grab it first.
Jetragon is easily the most fun Pal to own, if for no other reason than how much of a game-changer its speed is as a flying mount. On top of that, you can fire homing missiles while mounted. What more could you ask for?
Necromus
Level: 50
Map location: 448, 678
Pal element: Dark
Pal weakness: Dragon
Partner Skill: Dark Knight of the Abyss – Increases base mount speed and enables mounting for Necromus. Allows Necromus to double jump while mounted.
The last two legendary Pals on our list, Paladius and Necromus, are actually in the exact same spot, thus you’ll have to fight them together, which makes this the most challenging battle of the legendary Pals.
With Necromus being a dark-type Pal, Jetragon will help you out here. Astegon is another effective option, as his dragon and dark abilities are strong against both legendary Pals.
Paladius
Level: 50
Map location: 448, 678
Pal element: Natural
Pal weakness: Dark
Partner Skill: Holy Knight of the Firmament – Increases base mount speed and enables mounting for Paladius. Allows Paladius to triple jump while mounted.
Paladius will be alongside Necromus, making it necessary to fight both at the same time. Any dark-type Pals will be effective against Paladius, which is a natural-type Pal.
Again, you can cover all bases with Astegon, which is strong against both legendary Pals. However, any dark-type Pals that are level 50 and strong enough to withstand Paladius’ attacks will do.
