Paloma Faith says she's having a 'crisis' in her personal life amid anxiety battle

Paloma Faith has candidly opened up about a "crisis in her personal life".

The singer, 40, returned to Instagram on Saturday after a two week break from the social media platform.

Describing her current situation as "cluster f**k", the mum-of-two confessed that writing new music was keeping her going throughout her battle.

In a separate post, shared earlier in the day, the Only Love Can Hurt Like This hitmaker admitted she often gets anxiety "about being around people".

In her first Instagram post since January 12, Paloma opened up to her 655,000 in the caption of a new selfie.

"I havent [sic] been posting much on here because I’ve been having a few crisis in my personal life," the star wrote under a snap of herself smiling for the camera.

"But I want you all to know I’m grateful for you all and I’m writing new music, and working on loads of bits and bobs too. But I’m in the middle of what can only be described as a cluster fuck. It’s music and writing and working keeping me going!"

The singer - who often speaks out about social injustice and sexism - then mused the difference in how men and women are judged when it comes to being a working parent.

"Also, food for thought, you never hear a man described as a 'career man' do you ?" Paloma asked her followers.

"I’ve been described so many times as a 'career woman' and it just dawned on me. WTAF?!"

The Voice Kids coach concluded with the hashtags: "#careerman #careerwoman #workingmum #workingmama #palomafaith #lovemyjob."

Within minutes of posting the update, many of Paloma's fans and celebrity pals sent their best wishes to the star during her time of need.

"We love you …. always will I would describe you as a 'liver of life'," Jase Flemyng commented under the singer's candid post.

One fan showed their support for the star, writing: "Whatever s**t is going down, I’m sending healing, good luck, anti-clusterf**k vibes your way!"

"Hope you are okay. Sending you our love and positive vibes," another wrote to Paloma over the weekend.

Prior to posting to her main grid, the Lullaby singer seemingly hinted at a struggle with anxiety in her Instagram Stories.

Sharing a snap of herself smiling with a group of pals at Italian restaurant, Gloria, in London's Shoreditch, Paloma penned: "I do go out again now and I get anxiety about being around people but this is to show I do it !!

"These people are particularly wonderful though @pinkytesfay @zinahihenacho @missbabysol @catherinette__."

Last year, Paloma opened up about experiencing suffering from extreme anxiety throughout her second pregnancy.

The talented star shares two daughters, aged four and nine months, with her husband Leyman Lahcine.

"My anxiety is through the roof," Paloma wrote on Instagram in January 2021.

"Some people I knew approached me in the park yesterday as I was taking my little one for a walk for some exercise and I felt like I was going to break down into tears begging them not to come near as I scrambled to put both our masks on.

"They were so kind and empathetic and kept away but I vowed that would be the last time I step outside my house again until the baby is born," the then-pregnant star confessed.
