Palace star Joachim Andersen has already given his verdict on France ahead of Denmark clash

Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen says Denmark will be facing a "world class" team when they face France this afternoon (Saturday).

The Eagles star is in contention to feature again for the Danes against the current World Cup holders, having started for Kasper Hjulmand's side in their opening Group D clash with Tunisia on Tuesday, which finished 0-0.

Denmark will go into the game knowing that they have beaten France in their last two meetings, having done the double over Didier Deschamps' side in the Nations League, winning 2-1 in Paris in June before a 2-0 victory in Copenhagen in September.

As such, Denmark have the chance to make it three wins in a row against the reigning champions, albeit they still face a tough task against a team that features the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann, and won 4-1 against Australia in their opening group match.

And Andersen insists that Denmark will not take their opponents lightly, despite stating that he is confident the Danes have what it takes to progress from the group stage.

“We just beat France, so you never know," he said. "We beat France in the Nations League but obviously they are world class, a world class team. I think we have good possibilities to go through from the group.”

Kick off is at 4pm at the Stadium 974 in Qatar.
