Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have jointly urged for an immediate cease-fire and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid in Gaza. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister emphasized the inadequacy of international efforts in achieving a truce between Israel and Hamas, stressing the urgent need to address the potential famine crisis in Gaza. The minister highlighted the dire consequences of the humanitarian situation, stating that people are at risk of starving to death due to the lack of essential assistance reaching them.

Amid escalating tensions in the region, both countries emphasized the importance of de-escalation and prioritizing peace to prevent further conflict and instability. The recent Israel-Hamas war, which began on October 7, has resulted in significant casualties and destruction, with militant groups carrying out attacks and Israel responding with a military offensive.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister condemned the violence in Gaza as genocide and called for immediate global intervention to halt the bloodshed and ensure the flow of aid to the affected population. The Prime Minister of Pakistan also sought closer cooperation with Saudi Arabia to address economic challenges, with the latter pledging significant investments in Pakistan to support its financial stability.

In a show of solidarity, Saudi Arabia has previously provided financial assistance to Pakistan, including a substantial deposit in the central bank to bolster foreign exchange reserves. The ongoing discussions between the two nations underscore their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and humanitarian relief in the conflict-affected region.
