A Paisley-born woman has been rocked by a double tragedy after her dad and brother died from covid within days of each other.
Elaine Rennie, who moved to Whitley Bay in North East England with her family, was dealt the devastating blows last month with the deaths of her dad Alistair and brother Mark.
Alistair, who was 82, died on April 13 from the virus before son Mark passed away aged 47 a week later on April 21, Chronicle Live reports.
Alistair had only just recovered from a spell in hospital with bowel issues when it became clear he - and then his son - had caught covid-19.

Due to Alistair’s age and Mark’s MS, both were highly vulnerable to the virus. Alistair had been Mark's carer until this year when he became ill.
Elaine has spoken of her torment at losing her dad and brother - having lost mum Mary three years ago.
She told ChronicleLive: [Mark] was in and out of consciousness and I rushed up to see him but I missed his last breath. I was so sad about that. I’m going to do the best I possibly can for them.”
Elaine has launched a GoFundMe page to help pay the costs of the joint funeral, which is set to be held at Tynemouth Crematorium on May 17. And she hopes it will be a "wonderful send off" for them.
She said: "I was so shocked at how this all happened. I was well-prepared to be caring for them both for years.
"The funeral needs to be a wonderful send-off and. I want to make sure I do the best for them. It's such a horrible shock that this has happened, but I'm the only one left now."
Writing on the GoFundMe page, Elaine said that "my family are sadly all gone now", and noted that as well as the funeral, she is also seeking to cover the costs of a new headstone for her mum, dad and brother.
She wrote: "Hi my name is Elaine. My brother mark passed away yesterday 21st April with coronavirus. My dad passed away last week 13th April with coronavirus. My family are sadly all gone now.
"My mum passed away a few years ago too. I'm trying to raise enough money for my dad and brothers double funeral and also a headstone for my mum and dad and brother. Thank you everyone who will help. Love Elaine."
