A Paisley woman who stabbed a man to death has been jailed for 16 years.
Stephanie Bowie, 29, brutally knifed 21-year-old Darren Russell twice in the chest. He died on the doorstep of his family home in Erskine, Renfrewshire after the New Year's Day Attack in 2021.
Bowie was found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow of murder, possession of a bladed article and an attempt to defeat the ends of justice last month on June 9. Today, she was sentenced at the High Court in Stirling.
During the trial Bowie denied murder after effectively claiming she "accidentally" stabbed the victim after bringing out the blade to "scare" him but jurors found her guilty of the crime.

The murder took place near the Grill in the Park Bar and Restaurant. Bowie stormed to the scene after her brother Mark had been in a minor row with Darren. The argument occurred in the grounds of nearby Barsail Primary School.
Stephanie Bowie then got a knife and jumped in a taxi from Paisley to Erskine after learning of the row. She turned up at the school and immediately threatened Darren.
She claimed Darren was standing over her, she "panicked" and brought out the knife hidden up her sleeve.
Chief Inspector Christopher Nisbet, Senior Investigating Officer, said: "Stephanie Bowie is now facing the consequences of her actions.
"I hope this sentence sends a clear message that violence and the carrying of weapons is completely unacceptable.
"Although it can't change what has happened, I hope that this sentence brings at least a degree of closure for Darren's family and friends.
"Our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.
"Police Scotland are committed to bringing perpetrators to justice and we will continue to work closely with our partners to do so."
