New research shows that Paisley is in the Top Ten of the luckiest post code areas in Scotland- with the Outer Hebrides taking top spot.
The research has shown that out of all the post codes in Scotland, Paisley is among the luckiest.
The luck is determined by the amount of winners of the People’s Postcode Lottery per 100,000 people in each area.

Paisley, which is ranked at number nine, had 70.63 wins per 100,000, just being eighth place Kirkwall which had 77.16, and ahead of Carlisle in 10th with 69.75.
Paisley’s position shows that the postcode is currently 32 per cent higher than the national average, but one per cent below the Scottish average.
Overall, Paisley has had 227 wins out of 321,350, the second most overall wins, which is a remarkable feat when you look at other areas on the list such as top spot, the Outer Hebrides, with 122.9 which has only seen 34 wins in total out of a population of 27,663.
Commenting on the findings, a spokesman from SolitaireBliss, which conducted the research, said: “Postcode Lottery claims that over two-thirds of Great Britain’s postcodes are playing. Winners are announced every day, so why do some areas have greater luck than others?
"Some reasons for this can be due to the number of players registered for each postcode, so nine entries for one postcode will have greater chances of winning the Postcode Millions prize than a single person entering their postcode alone.”
