Paisley Girls' Brigade are looking for new members

The 2nd Paisley Girls Brigade Company part of Oakshaw Trinity Church services for young people, commences for the new session on Thursday, September 1.

The Company Captain Karren Peacock said “We offer a wide range of activities including crafts, games, and lots more. We met in The Wynd Centre school Wynd every Thursday during term time as follows:

Explorers (P1-P3) – 6.45-7.45pm

Juniors (P4-P7)-6.45-7.45pm

Brigaders (S1-S6) – 7.00-8.30pm

The Girls’ Brigade was founded in the 19th century in Dublin, Ireland and now the organisation operates in over 50 countries.

The organisation works alongside churches and schools to develop and enable young women to discover and live life to the fullest through rewarding opportunities.

The group helps teach young people to grow in confidence and skills.

Girls’ Brigade often do fun activities such as camping, cooking and fundraising events.
