A Paisley charity is planning to have brave volunteers zipline down the Clyde to help raise money for Fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia Action UK is looking to spread more awareness about the condition that affects one in 20 people in the UK.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 17, and those brave enough will be launched 150ft up a crane.

Fibromyalgia is a painful condition that causes widespread body pain, cognitive dysfunction and severe fatigue.
Des Quinn, chairperson at Fibromyalgia Action UK, said: “Amanda McKinlay is one of our volunteers that had put herself forward to brave a zipline across the Clyde. Fibromyalgia Action UK supports those with the condition that is characterised by chronic pain, fatigue, cognitive issues, and a whole host of other elements that steal choices from those affected. Some use examples of swimming 50 laps of a pool with flu or a bad hangover without having the party beforehand.
"Due to it being an invisible condition people look fine but simple tasks like going to the shops or cooking a meal could be too much for them. The condition can change from day to day and is not well understood by the medical community. There are not many good treatment options available, and diagnosis can take years all while experiencing pain constantly.
Events like this and volunteers like Amanda are what make the activities of the charity possible.”
The condition can affect anyone of any age and despite the stigmas around the condition, men can also be impaired by the painful condition.
