A Paisley bowling club is hosting an open day to sign up new members and show off its expansion plans.
Lochfield Bowling Club is opening its doors to the community on Saturday, September 24 from 1pm to 4pm.
The open day will give members of the public a chance to see the grounds and the surrounding areas as well as have the opportunity to play a game of bowls.

Member Alan Martin, 69, said: “It will be open to the locals to come along and participate in the game. We are in with the chance to get funding from the council to upgrade the bowling green and the surrounding areas.
“It is the last council-run bowling club, it is not a private club. There will be crisps and juice there for the kids and there will be kids bowls too.
"We went around to the two nearest schools before the summer holidays and we did get children coming with their parents and they seemed to enjoy it.”
Alan added: “The main thing is to get the bowling green upgraded. We have two bowling greens and the surrounding green is absolutely beautiful - there are trees right around it.
"It is a lovely, lovely setting. Some people come just to sit and read the paper or just sit and watch.
“We are looking to get the greens upgraded and looking the way they used to.”
The club already has 60 members, with more people showing an interest at getting involved, and Alan would like to see this increase.
He explained: “The numbers have gone up significantly this year. Hopefully, we will continue this luck in the future and we are hoping that people, especially those who live around the bowling club, will want to join in too.”
