Two men have been arrested and charged after a horrific assault left a man in critical condition.
The victim, aged in his 20s, was attacked on Anne Street South on Sunday. He was rushed to St James's Hospital by ambulance and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is understood to be critical but stable.
Two men, aged in their 20s, were arrested on Monday and detained in Pearse Street Garda Station. They have been charged and are due to appear before the court at a later date.

A garda spokeswoman said investigations are ongoing.
