POLICE have arrested two men after an "incident" on a busy Glasgow city centre street.
Two 30-year-old men have been arrested in connection with an alleged disturbance in the Jamaica Street area.
The force was alerted to the incident at around 3.30am on Wednesday, January 8.
After the alarm was raised, police swooped to the area.
Due to the incident, Glasgow City Council revealed Jamaica Street was closed shortly after 7am.
The road remained shut for several hours to allow officers to carry out an investigation and it reopened shortly after 11am.

In pictures captured by the Glasgow Times during the incident, police were pictured standing guard on Glasgow's Four Corners on Jamaica Street.
Meanwhile, the images showed the force had taped off the street as well.
