Central Pattana is gearing up to paint the town rainbow for Pride Month with the "Thailand's Pride Month Celebration 2023" campaign throughout June.
The retail property developer is joining hands with the United Nations Development Programme and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), alongside LGBTQIA+ allies, such as Muse by Metinee and Bangkok Pride, to push forth Thailand as a global landmark for Pride Month celebrations. Roaring proudly under the theme of "Pride For All", the grand celebrations will take place at Central branches nationwide. The highlights include:
• On June 1, more than 300 fashion models will sashay down a runway for a fashion show at CentralWorld's “Proud To Be Pride 2023” event, led by supermodel Metinee "Lukkade" Kingpayom. A line-up of artists and bands will perform at the Pride Concert on the same day. There will also be “Pride Talk”, a marketplace and a Miss International Queen Contest sporting national costumes.
• What's a Pride Month celebration without a parade? Get ready to join the pride parade, which weaves through Bangkok neighbourhoods, with a 144.8m rainbow flag flown high by Bangkok Pride, on June 1.
• Central Chiangmai will scream loud and proud during Pride Month with rainbow decorations, inviting visitors to fully embrace the spirit. The mall will also have a fashion photo challenge with prizes.
• In Isan, Pride Month at Central Ubon will be nothing short of extravagant. Among the highlights will be a fashion show with beauty pageants and a drag queen show from the Global Youth Biodiversity Network.
• Central Pattaya and Central Marina will host a vibrant market and parade from June 23-25, with a parade marching along Pattaya Beach Road on June 24.
• Down South, Central Phuket will mark its first Pride Month celebration with a parade and an LGBTQIA+ fashion show on June 4. Stay for a glamorous show by Simon Cabaret Phuket, along with “Pride Talk”, which will bring together queer celebrities every Friday and Saturday night throughout the month.
