Paige Turley opens up on Finley Tapp split and says they are still 'good friends'

Paige Turley appeared on Love Island: After Sun on Sunday night and opened up about her break up with Finley Tapp.

The couple won Winter Love Island together in 2020 and had been going from strength to strength before going their separate ways earlier this year. The Scots star, 25, insisted that she and her ex-beau are still 'really good friends' after their three-year relationship came to an end.

Speaking to host Maya Jama on After Sun on Sunday night, she said: "We're still really good friends. I think we drifted apart."

Paige and Finn's relationship got serious quick after the first ever series of Love Island Winter Sun came to an end at the end of January 2020, just before the pandemic and the new couple spent lockdown at Paige's family home in West Lothian before they moved in together in Manchester.

"We did lockdown together and any and every struggle we could have faced we were faced with," she added.

Maya couldn't resist asking Paige if she was looking for love yet again, and she responded: "No, no, not for a while."

The Scots beauty appeared alongside former co-star and close pal Shaughna Phillips, who joked 'she's the new bombshell' heading into the villa. Paige quipped: "No I'm not but if he [Finn] goes in there he will be in trouble, we're not having an Adam Collard bombshell again."

News of Finley and Paige's split came just months after the ex-footballer shared his hopes of one day marrying Paige, hinting a proposal was imminent.

Speaking to OK! at the Pride of Britain Awards, he said: "Getting married is definitely something that we both want to happen, but we spent almost 2 years of our relationship in and out of lockdown, so we're just catching up on life really.

"I'd love to marry Paige, but right now, we're just living our best life, and then whatever happens, happens."

Breaking the news of their split, insiders told The Sun: "Paige and Finn had a really good run, but they are still super young and decided it wasn't forever in the end.

"Paige is spending some time back in Scotland while she works out what she wants to do next."
