A six-under-par round of 65 was enough for Padraig Harrington to take home victory on the PGA Champions Tour in Arizona this week.
With the win, Harrington collected a cheque of €440,000 for his week's work in Arizona. Having now won four times on the Champions Tour this season, the 51-year-old's yearly winnings are now pushing close to the €4.5 million mark.
Added to that is another €500,000 awarded to the Irishman for finishing second in the Charles Schwab Cup race, which is the Champions Tour equivalent of the PGA's FedEx Cup. Harrington just missed out on the €1,000,000 bonus of winning the Cup, an honour clinched by Steven Alker.

Overall, a wildly successful first season on the PGA Champions Tour has made Harrington's already healthy bank balance look a little bit better.
It's no surprise that the Irish star has taken home some serious cash this year. Throughout his career, Harrington has gotten into an excellent habit of winning when the stakes are at their highest.
A pair of Open titles in 2007 and 2008 made Harrington a total of €1.8 million, while victory at the 2008 PGA Championship earned the three-time major winner a further €867,000.
And Harrington has continued this habit deep into his career. Earlier this year, last year's Team Europe Ryder Cup captain took home a whopping €720,000 for winning the US Senior Open earlier this year.
In total, Harrington boasts a reported net worth of nearly €40 million, a figure he'll look to add to when he competes at the PNC Championship in Orlando next month.
