Padraig Harrington just one off lead as he goes for two-in-a-row on Champions Tour


Padraig Harrington is just one shot off the lead going into the final round of the Ally Challenge as he seeks his second win in two weeks.

The Dubliner, 50, shot a second round 66 to sit just one off the 11-under-par lead being set by Scott Dunlap at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club.

Harrington will be out in the final group alongside Dunlap and Steve Stricker who captained America to beat Harrington's Europeans in the last Ryder Cup.

The longest hitter on the tour, Harrington birdied three of the four par fives on the layout in a bogey-free round.

Three-time major champion Harrington has enjoyed a new lease of life since joining the senior ranks last year.

After winning this summer's U.S. Senior Open when beating Stricker, Harrington won last week's Dick's Sporting Goods Open by three shots.

He is currently second in the PGA Champions Tour money list - the Charles Schwab Cup - with Australian Steven Alker leading the way.
