Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett cruises to submission victory at UFC London to extend unbeaten run

Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett extended his unbeaten run in the UFC with a slick second-round submission against Jordan Leavitt at the O2 Arena.

Prior to the fight, Pimblett promised to 'teabag' his opponent and delivered on his promise in front of an electric crowd in London.

Following a trademark walk-in which had every member in the crowd recording, it was a slow start from Pimblett who eventually grew into the round with multiple submission attempts.

The crowd thought twice that the end was near as Pimblett tried to lock in a triangle and guillotine. He ended the round on top, dropping Leavitt with a perfectly-timed switch kick before transitioning into a rear-naked choke attempt.

The second round was more of the same with Pimblett dominating the grappling exchanges. A huge knee in the clinch that landed flush was the beginning of the end as Pimblett transitioned to Leavitt's back. More ground and pound led to the opportunity to lock in the choke and secure the win but Pimblett was not happy with his performance.

"Once again, I'm disappointed in my performance. That's not me. That was s***. I'm better than that," he said post-fight.

Pimblett added: "I love each and every single person in this crowd. You are the best. I want to dedicate this fight to baby Lee, more of a fighter than any of us will ever be."

The Liverpool supporter also dedicated the win to a close friend who recently committed suicide and encouraged all men to speak out on mental health issues before leaving the cage in tears to You'll Never Walk Alone.

Now 3-0 in the UFC, Pimblett promised he would fight again before the close of 2022.
