Paddy Pimblett responds to Ilia Topuria claim after hotel altercation with UFC rival

Paddy Pimblett got into a physical altercation with German-Georgian Ilia Topuria at the fighter's hotel ahead of UFC London, with Topuria telling Pimblett that he 's*** his pants'.

The Liverpool MMA star is seen on camera saying 'what's happening lad', before something is thrown with Pimblett getting into it with Topuria.

Pimblett, who seemingly is not fazed by the altercation, replies stating: "What lad? I am stood right here. You little maggot."

“I warned you!" Topuria tweeted after the pair's altercation. "This is what happens when you disrespect me and my country! You saw me and wanted to greet me because you s*** your pants…

"And you should thank my team because if it wasn’t for them separating me, I would have taken your head off. This is not twitter, this is real life."

Pimblett responded, telling Topuria that he showed up for a six-on-one encounter. Pimblett claims that he was alone, while Topuria's team can clearly be seen in the video.

"6 vs 1 and yous never done nothin gang of b****es," Pimblett tweeted at Topuria alongside a series of laughing emojis. When a fan replied with a screenshot of the incident, Pimblett jokingly replied: "That’s a screenshot of me slipping a punch."

Pimblett will makes his return to the octagon this weekend as he'll compete in his second fight in the UFC in London, while Topuria will fight Jai Herbert on the first fight of the main card.

It'll be the first time in three years that the UFC has held an event in the UK with a Fight Night being held at the O2 Arena on Saturday.

Paddy 'the Baddy' - who has risen to stardom after his sensational UFC debut in September with a victory over Luigi Vendramin - will face Mexican Rodrigo 'Kazula' Vargas. He made the move from Cage Warriors in 2021, coming off the back of an impressive three-win streak.

Pimblett has become a cult hero amongst UFC fans worldwide, already becoming a beloved figure in the United States. He's promised to make his entrance at UFC London a memorable one - stating it'll be the best in the history of the company.
