Paddy Pimblett reveals post-fight message to Dana White after UFC London win

Paddy Pimblett has revealed the post-fight message he told Dana White after his submission win at UFC London.

Pimblett picked up his second consecutive UFC win by submitting Kazula Vargas in the English capital. The Liverpudlian was taken down early on, but eventually took the back of his opponent and forced him to tap in the first round.

An ecstatic Pimblett called out Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg after the win, of which he rated his performance a "six out of ten". It's the second finish in a row for Pimblett after he earned a $50,000 bonus for knocking out Luigi Vendramini in his promotional debut last September.

The Liverpudlian revealed the topic of his post-fight conversation with White was about him earning another bonus for submitting Vargas. "That's another 50 grand for me isn't it bro, I'm never in a boring fight!' That's what I said to him because I'm not," Pimblett said.

Addressing his performance, he added: "I got hit with a big shot, but it was a sloppy takedown attempt from me to be honest, I'm quite disappointed in my performance but I got the first round finish and that's all that matters."

Pimblett admitted that he doesn't want a fight a top-15 ranked contender in his next fight. 'The Baddy' doesn't want to rush himself in the stacked lightweight division and ruled out a fight with his rival Ilia Topuria next, who he clashed with during fight week.

Pimblett also addressed a hypothetical matchup with former two-weight champion Conor McGregor next, who is targeting his UFC return later this year having spent the good part of a year away from the cage after breaking his tibia.

"Who wouldn't be interested in that fight," he added. "If anyone on this roster got offered to fight Conor McGregor they're saying yeah. You're getting pure dough and pay-per-view points, get that cash money in yo."

The 27-year-old promised that no child in his home city of Liverpool would ever have to visit a food bank again if he eventually gets paydays like McGregor, who is the UFC's highest-paid fighter.
