Paddy Pimblett responds to UFC fight call-out from YouTube star Logan Paul

Paddy Pimblett would be open to discussing a potential fight with Logan Paul - but is confident he would submit the YouTube star.

Pimblett recently choked out Kazula Vargas in the opening round of his latest exploit at The O2 arena. As his profile continues to rocket, Paul claimed he would like to meet Pimblett in the octagon if he ever opts to fight in the UFC.

Pimblett has now issued a response to Paul's call-out claiming that he has been called out due to his ability to attract large crowds and engagement numbers. “He knows who the boy is, doesn’t he?," Pimblett told The Schmo. "He knows who will put bums on seats, lad. I can’t see him mentioning anyone else.

"I know he’s a lot bigger than me but I don’t think it really matters, to be honest. I think I’d submit him quite easily and quite quickly but you never know, anything can happen in a fight. If Logan Paul ever does want the fight, lad, I’m open to hearing what numbers he’s coming at us with."

Paul has not fought in the boxing ring since his hugely-successful appearance against Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition last June. He recently made an appearance at WWE's hallmark event WrestleMania and is also eyeing a future switch to the UFC after a conversation with company president Dana White.

Pimblett has made a meteoric rise in the promotion having signed last year from Cage Warriors before making a huge impression on his debut against Luigi Vendramini. Paul believes despite his limited experience in MMA, he would be able to hand Pimblett his maiden defeat but has praised his "loud mouth" character.

"I have found out who I would like to fight if I did a UFC match. Paddy the Baddy (Pimblett)," Paul told the MMA Hour. "They say he is the next Conor McGregor right, he is super charismatic and entertaining as hell. He is on the come-up and young like me and has a real loud mouth. I like the way he can perform.

"He could get up to 185lbs and I could get down to 185lbs for a UFC match. It's the only thing I don't know if I would win, he is a good a** fighter and I have never had an MMA fight. If I am doing it obviously I think I am going to win. But now I am looking at it and if I do a UFC fight then I have to do it with someone else who can sell tickets.

Pimblett is currently focused on continuing to raise his level of opponent but will not fight anyone ranked in the top fifteen until a review of his contract is conducted. Meanwhile Paul is still planning to face Brazilian YouTuber Whindersson in the ring but could also sign a long-term deal with the WWE.
