Paddy Pimblett will return to the octagon this weekend when he takes on Jared Gordon at UFC 282.
The Liverpudlian star will make his fourth appearance in the UFC against Gordon, as he looks to continue to solidify his status as one of the promotion's fastest rising stars. Pimblett made his debut last year in Sin City, but has since been part of two mammoth UFC London bills defeating Kazula Vargas and Jordan Leavitt.
After statement performances in both fights, he will now turn his attentions to Gordon who has been competing in the UFC since 2017 and has even shared the cage with Charles Oliveira. A win will likely further intensify calls for Pimblett to take on a fighter in the top 15 of the 155lb rankings.

Pimblett: "Every fight's a step up. There's no easy fights in the UFC. It's that simple," he told Sky Sports. "There's no gimme fights. It's the hardest weight division in the world. Jared's 4-1 in his last five. His last defeat before that was the former champ Charles Oliveira, Charles finished him in the first round and I aspire to be champ
"So I want to finish him in the first round. I'm still climbing the ladder. And I'm not going to start demanding fights with anyone. I'm not going to mention anyone's name. People talk about me. It's going to be difficult for me when I start fighting ranked people, that's just why I believe in myself so much."
Gordon: “Listen, a fight’s a fight,” Gordon said on The MMA Hour. “He goes for it on the feet. I think he’s more dangerous on the feet than people give him credit for and he’s tricky. He’s unpredictable. He has three finishes in the UFC right now and he’s on a big streak. Anything can happen.
“I think he’s more well prepared, and he has a lot of support, and he has the money now to afford to have nutritionists and other coaches and traveling for training and new ideas and new people. Sometimes all you need is a little tweak in your game, and all of a sudden, things change for you in a good way. I am not underestimating him whatsoever. I think it’s going to be a fun, tough fight.”
