UFC superstar Paddy Pimblett has paid tribute to Conor McGregor generosity, after the Notorious showed his kinder to the young fighter a few weeks ago.
The Liverpudlian was in Dublin recently celebrating his latest UFC win with longtime friend and fellow UFC fighter Molly McCann. As is seemingly tradition among high-profile stars, they decided to pop into McGregor's Black Forge Pub.
While there, McGregor chatted to the pair on facetime, congratulated them on their recent wins and treated the two fighters by paying their bill at the end of the night.

Recounting the tale on on Steve-O’s Wild Ride podcast, Pimblett said, “I was in Dublin two or three weeks ago in his pub. Me and Molly were in there having a drink and a meal,”
“The annoying thing about it is, he was on FaceTime to us, he was talking to me. I think he did say something to me about my speech and that. I was like, ‘Thank you."
“He said something else about my win but I couldn’t hear exactly what he was saying because we were in a pub and the music was loud."
“I wish there was a pair of earphones to put in, but he sorted the bill for us, so Conor’s a scouser.”
Despite McGregor's kindness, Pimblett hasn't ruled out squaring off with 'Mystic Mac' in the future. 'The Baddy' is undefeated in his UFC career to date and many expect big things from the scouse star in the future.
Never short of confidence, Pimblett proclaimed that a fight with McGregor could be a record breaker.
“You never know, down the line me and him could end up fighting. It’s a possibility [if he] comes back down to 155lbs – that would be the biggest pay-per-view in the history of the UFC,” Pimblett added.
Pimblett is 3-0 in the UFC, with two submission wins and a KO finish to his name. The 27-year-old is a former Cage Warriors featherweight champion - as is McGregor.
Unfortunately for fans, a fight between the pair doesn't appear to be on the horizon. McGregor hasn't fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021, and a return to the UFC seems a while away yet.
