Paddy Pimblett Climbs To No. 15 In UFC Lightweight Rankings

At the recent UFC 304 event held in Manchester, England, Paddy Pimblett of England emerged victorious in a lightweight bout against King Green. Pimblett's impressive performance not only secured him a significant win but also earned him a rankings number in the official UFC lightweight rankings.

With six fights under his belt in the UFC, Pimblett's first-round submission win over Bobby “King” Green propelled him to the No. 15 spot in the lightweight rankings. The fight saw Pimblett execute a flawless guillotine choke followed by a triangle choke, resulting in Green's defeat at 3:22 of the first round.

Pimblett's stellar performance was duly recognized by the UFC, awarding him $200,000 in fight-night bonuses. This victory marked Pimblett's sixth consecutive win in the UFC, solidifying his position in the division.

Other Standout Performances at UFC 304

Arnold Allen also showcased his skills at UFC 304, securing a decision win over Giga Chikadze. This victory not only ended Allen's two-fight losing streak but also propelled him to a tie at No. 5 in the rankings alongside Movsar Evloev.

In the co-main event, Belal Muhammad pulled off an upset victory over welterweight titleholder Leon Edwards, extending his unbeaten streak to 11 fights. Muhammad's strategic game plan earned him the 170-pound belt and a spot at No. 6 in the pound-for-pound rankings.

The main event featured Tom Aspinall defeating Curtis Blaydes by knockout within the first minute of the first round. Aspinall retained the interim UFC heavyweight crown and climbed two spots in the pound-for-pound rankings to No. 9, while Blaydes dropped to No. 5 in the heavyweight division.
