Paddy McGuinness shared a loving message of appreciation for his childhood friend Peter Kay.
The comedians are best known for starring together on Phoenix Nights. The men became friends in high school when they both attended Mount St Joseph High School, before later working together.
According to Paddy the two of them are still close and he is "very proud" of Peter - who announced his first comedy tour in 12 years earlier this month.

Taking to Instagram, Paddy shared a number of pictures of the two of them together. He lovingly captioned the post as he shared some sweet words.
The dad-of-three wrote: "I don’t often speak about Pete and his achievements on my socials. He’s been a mate since childhood and that’s how I always see him?"
He added: "Regardless of all the great things he’s achieved on television there’s literally no one who comes close to what he does live. The amount of tickets he sells is unheard of in the comedy world and beyond!
"He’s a one off folks, enjoy him, I don’t think you’ll see the likes of him again? Certainly not in our lifetime. I’m very proud you son.
"PS I haven’t got tickets. PPS I don’t need any. #peterkay."
Fans were so eager to grab tickets for Peter's comeback tour that the website selling them crashed. Peter's huge new UK comedy tour, aptly titled the Better Late Than Never Tour, will open in just a matter of weeks.
