McGuinness stated he and Flintoff still communicate, though less frequently due to busy schedules. He expressed fondness for Flintoff and described their time on Top Gear as enjoyable.
Flintoff admitted feeling bad about the limited contact, expressing concern about triggering memories of the crash, which also halted his co-hosts' careers.
Flintoff received a £9m payout after the crash, while McGuinness and Harris reportedly did not receive compensation for lost earnings, potentially contributing to reported tension.
